Missed opportunity
Could have been a solid 7 or perhaps even an 8 in my book if real names were used. Why? Immersion. I had to pick up my phone and Google to understand if 1) whether or not this is based on real events and 2) how do the characters in the movie map to real life figures.
Now that I’ve done my research – the characters in this movie are absolute household names – some have went on to become political figures within the General Administration of Sports. Maybe this is why aliases had to be used, for example coach DAI is CAI Zhenhua in real life.
